Good Will Fire Company, Trexlertown; Upper Macungie Township Station 56; Fogelsville; Alburtis; Macungie; Weisenberg; Tri-Clover; Woodlawn and Topton fire departments were dispatched at 5:55 a.m. July 22 for a two-alarm house fire at 1124 Mosser Road, Upper Macungie Township.
Cetronia Ambulance Corps personnel provided medical assistance and rehabilitation, Trexlertown Fire Chief Stephen Oplinger emailed The Press.
He said Chief Gross from Station 56 was in command and approximately 60 firefighters were on scene.
The fire was placed under control at 10 a.m., Oplinger said.
“There was one adult living in the house, he evacuated and was not hurt,” Oplinger said. “No firefighters were injured.
“The resident had a few cats who escaped into the nearby woods.”
The cause of the fire is being investigated by Trexlertown and Fogelsville fire marshals.
“The Red Cross was notified and assisting the resident,” Oplinger said.
According to Lehigh County assessment records, the home is owned by Mark A. Krajci and John W. Simes III.
