The Ancient Oak Women’s Organization recently awarded the Gwen McQuillen Memorial Scholarship to two recent Emmaus High School graduates, Alexandra Kehm and Leah Tannous.
While at EHS, Kehm tutored other students as a member of National Honor Society and earned the Excellence in Biology award. Kehm received a provost scholarship award from Penn State University, where she will pursue a degree in biology. She is the daughter of Ted and Diane Kehm.
Tannous also tutored as a member of National Honor Society. She served as president of the Student Government Association. She was a Hornet Ambassador, a member of the Student Athletic Character Council and the Pediatric Cancer Club. Tannous was the captain of the girls varsity basketball team. She will attend Penn State University to pursue a degree in secondary education social studies. She is the daughter of Patrick and Robin Tannous.
