St. John’s Lutheran Church welcomes new pastor

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 37 S. Fifth St., Allentown, recently welcomed a new pastor to the fold.

The Rev. Bradley T. Carroll came to Allentown from Dallas, Texas, where he served congregations for more than 20 years.

Pastor Carroll and his wife, Sharon began, their ministry in Leechburg, Armstrong County, outside Pittsburgh in 1993.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in religion from the University of Minnesota and his Master of Divinity degree from Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary.

Pastor Carroll also served four years as an on call chaplain for Baylor Hospital, Grapevine, Texas.

His service of installation took place July 22 with the Rev. Dr. Samuel R. Zeiser, bishop of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, presiding.

Worship at St. John’s is 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 9:30 a.m. Sundays.

Holy Communion is celebrated at both services.
