Five motorcycle safety training programs tailored to hone a rider’s knowledge and test their ability to physically manipulate a motorcycle properly were introduced recently at Blackman’s Cycle Center, Buckeye Road, Emmaus.

Representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania State Police and Pennsylvania Insurance Department, program sponsors, were on hand to answer questions about the new motorcycle training curriculum, courses offered and general motorcycle training safety topics, as well as the potential life-saving and financial benefits of receiving proper training.

Total Control Training, Inc., of Victorville, Calif., which administers the training, introduced a Live Free – Ride Alive PennDOT curriculum of rider clinics. The clinics offer instruction in basic riding, intermediate riding and advanced riding skills and three-wheel riding techniques.
