Manito students compete in first therapeutic riders division horse show

Four student riders of Manito Life Center, 2160 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., South Whitehall, attended their first Therapeutic Riders Division of the Devon Horse Show May 26 at Thorncroft Equestrian Center, Malvern.

The four riders were: Richard Klingensmith, 12, of Center Valley; Sara Miller, 16, of Coopersburg; Victoria Bilyk-Sequine, 16, of Fountain Hill, and Mackenzie Eisenhart, 23, of Emmaus.

The show team took home four, first-place and second-place awards; and two third-place and sixth-place awards, said Lisa Schadt, president of Manito.

Klingensmith took first place in division 2 equitation on the flat, first in division 2 dressage walk test 1, and second in division 2 trail.

Miller took first in division 1 equitation on the flat, first in trail, and third in dressage walk test 1.

Bilyk-Sequine took first place in division 3 dressage walk test 2, third in division equitation and sixth in trail.

Eisenhart took second in division 1 equitation on the flat, second in division 1 dressage walk test one and sixth in trail.

This prestigious show, with more than 200 competitors in over 50 classes, also includes equitation, dressage and trail.

“We are very proud of these hard working students for both their competition achievements and sportsmanship during the show,” Schadt said.
