A Splash & Dance event is set for 6-8:30 p.m. July 19 at Coplay’s Parkway Pool, Second and Keefer streets. Deejay Freddy Milander Jr. will entertain. Contests and prizes are also part of the fun.

Lehigh County Conservation District will be at Coplay Public Library, 49 S. Fifth St., 1-2 p.m. July 19 for Buckets Full of Nature: Fossils Rock!

The library will also present a free children’s movie 5-7 p.m. July 23, a kids’ music program 6-7 p.m. July 25 and storytime 3-4 p.m. July 26.

St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold its annual congregation family picnic July 22 at the borough’s Parkway pavilion. There will be a worship service 11 a.m. that includes the closing program for the Vacation Bible School. A picnic luncheon will be noon.

The afternoon includes bingo, dancing and a cake walk. Freddy Milander Sr. and Freddy Milander Jr. will serve as the deejays.

Coplay Borough Park and Recreation Board will meet in council chambers at the borough hall, 98 S. Fourth St., 7 p.m. July 25. The meeting is open to the public.

Plans are being finalized for the annual St. Peter Roman Catholic Church homecoming picnic, scheduled for noon-10 p.m. Aug. 5 on the church grounds, 4 S. Fifth St.

Home-cooked food, polka, rock music, a children’s train ride and the church’s famous pierogies will be offered.
