Grant benefits St. Anne’s learning support program

St. Anne School in Bethlehem was recently awarded a $25,000 grant by the Donald B. and

Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation for the school’s addition of a second Aquinas Learning Support Program

classroom for students with learning disabilities.

“We are deeply appreciative and grateful for this wonderful grant.,” said St. Anne Principal Karen Bentz. “The funds will enable us to provide needed instructional materials and tools to assist our

students in the Aquinas Learning Support Program. This beautiful program supports the reading and

mathematics needs of students who may fall below their grade level in reading and math due to a

diagnosed learning disability. We are thrilled to now offer a second classroom to meet student need.”

The Aquinas Learning Support Program, offered in partnership with the Diocese of Allentown, is

the only elementary level program offered in Northampton County and provides instruction at

a student’s grade level in reading and math, while they continue to take part in their daily grade level

classroom for all other subjects.
