NAHS students

SkillsUSA

Northampton Area High School students performed in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, held June 25-29 in Louisville, Ky.

Representing Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School were Samuel Costenbader and Christian Stezelberger.

Both graduated from NAHS earlier in June.

Stezelberger came in eighth place for Industrial Motor Control, and Costenbader came in 15th place for Electronics Technology.

Both students excelled in the state competition, receiving gold medals, held in April in Hershey. This qualified them for the opportunity to compete at the national level in Kentucky.

While at BAVTS, Stezelberger studied electrical construction, and Costenbader studied electronics technology.

Both students also received vocational-technical awards during the NAHS annual academic awards ceremony, held May 30 for their work at BAVTS.

Constenbader was also one of five NAHS students to receive the Bridges Foundation Scholarship from BAVTS.
