STATE POLICE
An 18-year-old female, of Allentown, was taken into custody for possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop for vehicle code violations on Lower Macungie Road at Little Spur, Lower Macungie Township, 11:54 p.m. May 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Matthew Charles Mondschein, 29, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for allegedly being in possession of an illegal drug and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 12:44 a.m. May 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Police also learned Mondschein had an active arrest warrant.
Two males entered Kohl’s department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 2:16 p.m. May 12. One of the men acted as a lookout as the second man concealed 13 black Nike shirts, three Adidas shirts, Nike socks, two Adidas jackets and two pairs of Adidas pants in a book bag and a black tote bag. The men fled the scene in a light colored vehicle.
Both men are described as white and between 20 and 30 years old. The male who acted as a lookout is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a gray beanie hat, gray sweatpants, Adidas shoes, a black vest and a white shirt. He also had a beard. The second man is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a red long sleeve shirt, a tan baseball hat, black shoes and blue jeans. He was carrying a black book bag. Two females worked together to remove a bottle of Prada perfume from ULTA Beauty, 833 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1 p.m. May 26. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, both women were seen walking through the store and placing a bottle of perfume into a purse.
One woman wore a shirt displaying the phrase “A’mour.” The second woman was wearing a tank top. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.
Two individuals worked together to remove an air conditioner, a dehumidifier and a box fan with a total value of $289.88 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:37 p.m. May 14. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, one person acted as a lookout while the second person exited the store with the items, which were in a shopping cart. The actors were confronted, brought the shopping cart back inside the store and then fled. They were located in the store parking lot and arrested for retail theft, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
William David Ryan, 52, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Cedar Crest Boulevard in the area of Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, 11:34 p.m. May 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Robert Jason Jones, 54, of Pocono Lake, is suspected of driving under the influence after police found him allegedly slouched behind the wheel of a vehicle at Fieldview Drive and Clover Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 9:40 a.m. June 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Troopers had responded to the location for a welfare check.
Erik Thomas Shimkanon, 22, of Breinigsville, is suspected of driving under the influence and allegedly being in possession of marijuana after a traffic stop along State Route 222 in the area of Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:04 a.m. May 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 20-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped in a sobriety checkpoint conducted along Buckeye and Tank Farm roads, Upper Milford Township, 12:33 a.m. May 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A vehicle, possibly a work van, traveling north on Spruce Road near the intersection with Liberty Lane, struck a electrical line above the street on Spruce Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:52 p.m. June 14. The electrical line fell into a backyard, according to witnesses. The van then left the scene heading westbound on Liberty Lane, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was described as tall and the operator may not be aware of the collision with the electrical line, police said. No injuries were reported.
Unknown individuals obtained the personal information of a resident of the 7600 block of Catalpa Drive, Lower Macungie Township, and attempted to open several credit cards and banking accounts in the resident’s name April 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. There was no monetary loss for the Lower Macungie Township resident.
