Police are seeking a local man in connection with a stabbing last year and request residents’ help in the apprehension of Gary Paul Mayers, 43.
On Nov. 10, 2017, at approximately 3:21 p.m., a stabbing was reported to the Bethlehem Police 911 Center. The caller reported the stabbing occurred in the 500 block of Ontario Street and a crime scene was established in the neighborhood.
A male victim was subsequently located at Broadway and South Bishopthorpe streets. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his head, left hand and chest. He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill by city paramedics and underwent immediate surgery.
Mayers is the established suspect and is wanted by Bethlehem police for alleged attempted homicide, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. Mayers is a white male, 185 pounds, 5’11”, brown hair and brown eyes. He also goes by the name “Gary P Dobs.”
Mayers has past addresses in Bethlehem and Allentown.
Police are asking anyone who knows Mayers or his whereabouts to contact detectives or the Bethlehem Police Communication Center at 610-865-7187.
