If one were to sum up Camp Jefferson’s second week in one word, it would be eventful. Due to the Cement Belt Fair, both Jefferson and Cementon camps joined together for a busy and often-hectic week.
Jefferson’s campers partook in yet another week of exciting games, such as the ever-competitive Capture the Flag, and a few sporting games of dodgeball. Although Mother Nature wasn’t particularly kind with the weather, a little bit of rain couldn’t squash the morale of either of our camps. When the weather became too much for games outside, campers were ushered inside to continue playing games or make some crafts with the counselors’ help. Counselor Lauren and counselor Cassidy helped campers weave an almost innumerable amount of string into bracelets for friends and family.
On Tuesday of last week, our campers engaged in some high-octane fun at Lehigh Valley Grand Prix in Allentown. Always a camp favorite, the go-kart racing offered campers some friendly competition against others.
Although many campers were on their best behavior last week, the coveted Camper of the Week awards were given to Kevin F. and Camp Whitehall regular and birthday girl Emily W.
