The Allentown Flag Day Association held its annual Flag Day Ceremony June 14 in West Park, Allentown.

This is the oldest incorporated Flag Day Association in America, having been organized in 1907.

With the Allentown Band, under the direction of Ron Demke, the beautiful music was accompanied by beautiful weather.

Thomas Applebach, director with Lehigh County Office of Veterans Affairs was the keynote speaker.

Flag Day essay winners from Allentown middle schools recited their essays for the attendees.
