At a posh resort with breathtaking mountains and forest as a backdrop in Breckenridge, Colo., William Leiner III and Diana Hernandez exchanged wedding vows June 10.
The groom is the son of Bill Leiner Jr. of Coplay and Suzanne Blauvelt of Bethlehem.
He is a 2005 graduate of Whitehall High School, where he was an All- Lehigh Valley Team member on the two-time District 11 championship basketball team for the Zephyrs.
He studied finance at The Pennsylvania State University, where he played on the men’s basketball team that won the 2009 NIT Championship. He was a three-time member of the Academic All Big Ten.
Leiner received a Master of Business degree from Oxford University, England, where he was the basketball team’s MVP and received the distinction as a “Blue Member.”
He is a global consultant for the Albright Stonebridge Group, Washington, D.C., and a project consultant for Oxford University.
The bride is the daughter of Edgardo Hernandez and Gladys Bautista of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She graduated cum laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and information systems.
She is an associate brand manager for Johnson & Johnson, Bridgewater, N.J.
She is a triathlete, a competition that includes a one-mile swim, 50-mile bike ride and half-marathon run.
The newlyweds are planning a honeymoon to Patagonia in Argentina and Chile.
