LCCC:

The Early Learning Center (ELC) on the Schnecksville, North Whitehall Township, campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC), invites preschool children ages 3-5 along with a family member to spend an hour exploring the Reggio-inspired center and the numerous activities available.

Open houses for families are 2-3 p.m. June 28 and July 26. The session ends with “Mindful” exercises designed to create self-awareness in young children.

The center is enrolling children now for the fall semester, which starts Aug. 27. Enrollment is open to community members as well as LCCC students and employees. In addition, the center operates the Pre-K Counts program, which is scheduled to begin Aug. 27. Families may be eligible for this no-cost program. Scholarships for the ELC program are available to eligible families.

The center is open 12 months a year and offers a half-day morning preschool program Monday through Friday.
