TEMPLE UNIVERSITY
Matthew Meyers, of Whitehall, has been named to the spring 2018 dean’s list at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management.
To qualify for the designation, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.67 or better.
Meyers is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and Beta Alpha Psi, Alpha Phi Chapter.
Lycoming College
Christopher Mathur, of Bath, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology during Lycoming College’s 170th commencement ceremony. President Kent C. Trachte, Ph.D., and Phillip W. Sprunger, Ph.D., provost and dean of the college, awarded diplomas to the new graduates.

Lebanon Valley College
Lebanon Valley College congratulates nearly 700 students named to the dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.
Bath: Ryan Johnson, a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education and special education.
Whitehall: Elliot Miller, a graduate of Whitehall High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration; Tori Ward, a graduate of Whitehall High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in audio and music production.
Lebanon Valley College is a private, coeducational college founded in 1866 and dedicated to the liberal arts. The college offers 41 undergraduate majors plus self-designed majors and a range of minors, concentrations and pre-professional options, as well as graduate degree programs in athletic training, business administration, music education, physical therapy, science in STEM education and speech-language pathology. More than 2,000 high-achieving students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Northampton Community College. The honor is reserved for students who have completed a minimum of six credits and achieved at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in the spring 2018 semester.

Colgate University
Kaitlyn Rodriguez, of Bath, is a graduate of Colgate University in the Class of 2018. Rodriguez majored in molecular biology. Rodriguez, a graduate of Transfer/Adv Standing, received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, at Colgate’s 197th commencement May 20.
Clarion University
Jake Thomas Riegel, of Coplay, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. To earn placement on the dean’s list, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA.
U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY
Benjamin Longacre, a 2014 graduate of Northampton Area High School, has graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and received his commission as an ensign in the U.S. Navy.
Longacre was inducted into the Naval Academy July 1, 2014, and graduated May 25 with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
Featured speaker at the graduation and commissioning ceremony was President Donald Trump.
Longacre is temporarily assigned to the SAPR office at the Naval Academy and will report to Naval Air Station in Pensacola in November to begin flight training.
