Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will picnic in the grove 4-9 p.m. on June 23. Rain date is from 1-6 p.m. June 24.

Main Street Cruisers will perform.

There will be hamburgers, cheeseburger, hot dogs, barbecues, red beet eggs, french fries, soft drinks, homemade desserts, ice cream and candy available for sale.

As usual they will have the cake walk and a raffle.

They are also looking for volunteers to help with set up at 8:30 a.m., the food stand, cake walk.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is hosting giraffe weekend June 23 and 24.

They will be featuring an array of giraffe themed activities as well as extended feeding times, educational talks, specially crafted enrichment at the giraffe exhibit and open tours at the giraffe vestibule.

This event is being sponsored by St. Luke’s University Health Network.

The zoo will have a Red, Wine and Blue Festival June 30 to celebrate Fourth of July.

All guests 21 and older are invited to gather under the event tent to sample a variety of tasty wines and gourmet treats from an assortment of vendors.

Grab one of the zoo’s tasting passports and get a stamp from each spot listed for a chance to win a Lehigh Valley Zoo prize pack.

For guest under 21, there will be an exciting line up of fun activities including giraffe feedings and Lorikeet Landing experiences.

There will also be conversation themed crafts and informative and educational keeper talks throughout the day as well as a kangaroo walkabout tour inside the kangaroo exhibit.
