The water program, led by instructor Tara Miller, is 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings.

There is a cost.

Coplay Senior Citizens will meet 1 p.m. June 20 at Commitment to Family & Community, 165 Cherry St.

The organization is looking for new members. The public is invited.

Have old sneakers at home? The borough hall has a receptacle to collect the shoes for recycling to help a nonprofit organization.

The project has a large response from residents so far.

The Coplay Scholarship Fund Committee is continuing to raise funds to aid a borough boy or girl out of high school to defray costs for college, technical school or police academy.

Contributions by check can be sent to the CSFC at 41 N. Eighth St. or by phone at 610-751-2745.

New decorative fencing erected earlier at Saylor Park provides an attractive setting for the kilns, which are the oldest rotary cement kilns in the United States.

Despite a good start, there does not seem to be much funding to restore the historic Coplay Cement kilns. The good news is there is no more talk about demolishing them.
