John and Ann Feichtel, of Northampton, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary May 8.

Ann is the daughter of the late John and Mary Marakovits, who had resided in Northampton.

John is the son of the late Frank and Theresia Feichtel, who had resided in Whitehall.

The couple was married May 8, 1948, in the former Our Lady of Hungary Church, Northampton, by the Rev. Sherf.

They have five children: Tom and his wife, Dolly, of Northampton; Jim, who died in 1984; John and his wife, Sue, of Orefield; Anita and her husband, Mike, of Whitehall; and Joe and his wife, Tammy, of Bath.

They have seven grandchildren, Christine, Alison, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Andrew, Abby and Nathan, and three great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Eliott and Sydney.

The couple marked their anniversary with a family celebration.
