Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, will have its annual strawberry and ice cream festival 6-9 p.m. June 8.

Trexlertown Grange, 1183 Grange Road, Trexlertown, will celebrate its 100th anniversary at 6 p.m. June 22.
The grange is a nonprofit fraternal organization community service minded with agriculture roots starting in 1867.
A special program lined up to commemorate this milestone event in the grange’s journey.
The state grange president will be the main speaker.
Membership awards will be presented and entertainment will be by a young man who plays a mean banjo.
Citations from the local senator and state representative will be presented.
Before the program, there will be food and beverages.
Numerous old photos and various other memorabilia will be on display for attendees to view. And, the evening cannot end without some birthday cake.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, will be having an attic treasure sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 8 and 9 at the church.
There will be a bake sale and lunch both days.
New and gently used small household items, books and clothes will be available.
The church is offering a Father’s Day brunch after the 9:30 a.m. worship service June 10.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will have a Saturday Family Friendly Service from 6-7 p.m. June 16 in the Fellowship Room.
There will be a lesson, singing, a family project or activity, music and prayer followed by light refreshments.
The church will have its Hero Center Vacation Bible School for children ages 3 to sixth grade 8:45-11:45 a.m. June 18-22.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall Township, is asking high school kids if they need a quiet place to study for final exams.
Come to the community room at the library 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 9 and the library will provide snacks and beverages as you study.
Join CPA Paul Stocker to learn about all the Social Security options available at the Social Security Question and Answer workshop for adults ages 55-65 from 6:30-8 p.m. June 12.
Registration is needed to attend the Social Security workshop.
