He discussed monitoring data and the work that has been done in the township.

He also presented a donation of $15,000 to be used for work at Ontelaunee Park.

Over the years, approximately $275,000 has been given to the township by Nestle Waters.

Donald Christ noted that Eagle Scout Nolan Hernandez wants to donate time for a project in the park.

Hernandez wants to place a list of donors and memorials somewhere in the park recognizing them for their donations.

The board voted in favor of this and requested Hernandez bring a design to them at the next meeting.

Supervisor Steve Feinour wants curbing and sidewalk in the project.

Supervisor Brian Dietrich was not pleased with the road configuration.

Currently, there is only one ingress and egress point. Dietrich wants two entrances. The developer stated he will keep the road.

Dietrich said at some time in the future the township will be asked to take over road. After much discussion, the plan was given preliminary approval with the waiver request for curbing and sidewalk being denied.

Roadmaster Bruce Raber reported the boom mower has been repaired and the loader is currently being repaired.

The crew was busy doing cold patch, replacing and installing road signs, working at Ontelaunee Park and helping Weisenberg Township.

Bids were accepted for cold patch with New Enterprise receiving the contract for the material at a cost of $25,200.

George Ely received the bid for installing posts at the basketball courts at a cost of $2,950. Aaron Faulk will install both courts for $250 per court and paint the lines for an additional $400.

Zoning Officer Chris Noll met with Leslie Eckert, program director of White Deer Run, an addiction treatment center, to discuss some of the complaints received by the township.

He will meet again after he analyzes the information.

Michael Reese added his complaints to the zoning officer. He cited parts of the ordinance he thought would apply to his case. Pennsylvania State Police have been at the property numerous times on complaints.

He asserted garbage has been dumped on neighbors’ property.

Chairman Justin Smith said the board will identify the responsibility of the township in this matter and if necessary will take steps to correct it.

Smith said the complaint about noise will not be addressed.

The pond at the park has been treated. One or two more applications might be needed.

Feinour reported on some items. He noted there were wires taped to the utility pole at the intersection of Route 143 and Washington Street.

Also, some plaques in the park were missing and some sort of barrier should be installed to keep errant soccer balls from going on to neighbors property.

Noll will look into the sign issue.
