Congratulations to the Emmaus High School cast and crew of “West Side Story” for receiving Freddy Awards for outstanding use of lighting and outstanding choreography and congratulations to Luke Csordas for receiving the Freddy Award for outstanding performance by a featured dancer.

Summer circulation in the library has started. Books checked out will be due back to the library Sept. 7.

The final Buzz Magazine meeting of the year will be June 6.

Attention students taking Advanced Placement Biology next school year: Stop by Room 422 to get the summer assignment and a textbook.

The senior five person computer programming all-star team of Bradley Klemick, Arti Schmidt, Ethan Knode, Tien Pham and Frankie Hughes took sixth place internationally in the most advanced part of the competition in Barrington, R.I. recently. Four won individual awards for high scores.

Senior graduation practice will be held June 8.

Baccalaureate will be held at EHS in the auditorium 9 a.m. June 9.

Graduation will be June 10 at Stabler Arena.

Underclassmen final exams will be held June 8, 11 and 12. June 8 is periods nine, eight and seven. June 11 is periods six, five and four. June 12 is periods three, two and one. If students have an exam, they are expected to be there for that exam.

Transportation is provided at the normal time in the morning for the first exam starting 7:23 a.m. Transportation home is also provided for students 1 p.m. If students do not have transportation, the library is open for a quiet study session or the cafeteria for a normal study hall. Vacation will not be approved and if a student is absent, only a doctor’s note will be accepted. The note will need to be taken immediately upon return to Ms. Rodriguez’s office which is located directly across from the auditorium in the lobby. Lunch is provided between the second and third exam on all final exam days.

Students are to be in school June 13 only if they need to make up an exam.

EHS students will be dismissed 11 a.m. June 14 which is the last day of school.
