Mark your calendar! Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irving Road, in the Saegersville area, is having a church picnic and basket social, rain or shine, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. June 3.

All are welcome to come out and enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon in the country.

Dress casually and bring lawn chairs, family and friends.

A tasty selection of food will be available for purchase.

The musical group Jack and Friends will entertain with lots of toe-tapping music during the afternoon.

There will also be a cake walk and games for all ages.

The basket social drawing will be 5 p.m.

More to explore! Heidelberg Association of Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will be taking a road trip June 5 to tour the WFMZ-TV station.

Those interested in attending should meet 10:45 a.m. at Heidelberg Church to car pool.

Following the tour, this busy bunch of retirees will stop for some lunch at the Oasis Restaurant, Allentown.

Remember, you do not have to be a Heidelberg Church member to attend.

Don’t miss it! On June 16, the Heidelberg Game Protective Association is having a Sportsmen’s Flea Market 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at 8886 Reservoir Road, Germansville. The public is invited!

Vendors will be selling items related to hunting, fishing and outdoor gear.
