CPR, AED awareness week

June 1 through 7 is cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator week. Northampton Community College provides CPR and AED training at the Fowler Family Southside Campus many times throughout the year.

In additional to classes for groups of individuals, on-site training can also be provided to companies.

Communities That Care coorinaotor honored

Denise Continenza, of Whitehall, was presented with the Director’s Award for Collaboration and Partnership during a recent Penn State Extension annual conference in State College. She was recognized for her work as the coordinator for the Whitehall-Coplay Communities That Care, a program for preventing problem youth behaviors and building community strengths.

The Food, Families and Health extension, Lehigh County, educator shares research-based, non-formal educational programs on topics related to children, youth and families.
