SALISBURY HIGH SCHOOL

On April 27, students at Salisbury High School celebrated a Day Without Hate.

The No Place For Hate club, which promotes kindness throughout the school through many different activities, planned a day for students where kindness was shown throughout the building.

In the morning, members of No Place for Hate greeted students as they walked into the building with candy and necklaces. As the day continued, positive music was played as students traveled between each of their classes. In the halls, positive messages were scattered throughout the building on painted canvases or colorful pieces of paper.

During Falcon Period (SHS’s study hall), students watched a video about kindness and complimenting others. At lunch, students had the opportunity to send anonymous compliments to their peers, as well as the SHS staff, which will be distributed to the recipients during May.

Students also had the chance to get to know some of their friends better with conversation cards placed at each lunch table. All of the students at SHS were encouraged to spread positivity throughout the school during the Day Without Hate, as well as continue this positivity throughout the rest of their lives.

Salisbury High School No Place for Hate members create a banner to display in the main lobby.
