Thomas V. Tomasic

Thomas V. Tomasic, 68, of Northampton, died April 26, 2018. He was the husband of Diane (Pontician) Tomasic for 46 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Mary (Lalik) and the late Joseph V. Tomasic.

He was a 1971 graduate of the former Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales, Center Valley, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.

He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard, Bethlehem Armory, for 28 years and was a Gulf War veteran.

He was a postal carrier for the Northampton Post Office, U.S. Postal Service, for 20 years until he retired in 2010.

He was a member of the Stiles Friendship Bowling League, Hokendauqua; Northampton Catholic War Veterans Post 454; Hokendauqua American Legion Post 739; and Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Thomas M. and his wife Abby of Catasauqua and Mark J. of Northampton; a daughter, Kelly Ann and her husband Steven Kreider of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a brother, Joseph A. and his wife Joann of Valparaiso, Ind.; a sister, Roseann M. and her husband Michael Mohn of Nazareth; and five grandchildren, Hadley, Tye, Kathryn, Jack and Ava.
