Whitehall Fire Dept.

Whitehall Bureau of Fire will be having an open house at the Robert L. Benner Fire Training Grounds noon-4 p.m. May 6. There will be demonstrations of fire extinguishers for the public to try, as well as automobile extrication and other demonstrations throughout the event.

The department will be accepting applications for anyone wishing to become a volunteer firefighter.

Light refreshments will also be served.

Those planning to attend should drive to 2600 Lehigh St. and follow the signs to the training facility, which is on a private road.
