Whitehall High School, in conjunction with Communities That Care, will be hosting an educational parent night regarding social hosting and the legal ramifications for parents and students. Parents are invited to attend the evening presentation 7 p.m. tonight, May 3, in the high school auditorium.

Topics to be discussed include underage drinking, how to have conversations with your children about underage drinking and the academic and legal consequences of hosting.

Everyone in attendance will be entered into a raffle with prom-themed gifts.

Congratulations to WHS students Johnny Achi, Alex Bisher, Kayla Endy, Steele Hess, Luciano Jano, Logan Kester, Peter Marino, Amy Pham, Casey Schell and Sebastian Thomas, who are winners of a national poetry contest and now published poets!

Thousands of submissions were sent in from all over the United States, and only a set number of students were given the honor of becoming published poets.

Congratulations, students, for your creativity and hard work!

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 7-11. Show extra appreciation for your child’s teachers - this is a great time to say thank you!
