Atty. Matthew R. Sorrentino has been appointed Chief Legal Officer at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), effective April 30.

Sorrentino, chairman and managing partner, Norris McLaughlin & Marcus PA, Allentown, is lead counsel in real estate and commercial acquisition transactions involving institutional health care providers at the law firm.

“Matt has a strong history of working through challenges and new initiatives that frame the way for better health care for the community,’ said Brian Nester, DO, MBA, FACOEP, LVHN’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

“After a thirty-year relationship with Lehigh Valley Health Network and many of its leaders, I am honored to become part of a team that I know, respect and like,” Sorrentino said.

Sorrentino was a political science major at Muhlenberg College, was in the Army Reserves after graduation, and attended law school at Villanova University.

He helped found Norris McLaughlin & Marcus in 1989 when it was Tallman Hudders & Sorrentino.

Sorrentino and his wife, Ronnie, co-chair the President’s Society of LVHN. They have two grown children, Justin, who lives in New Jersey and Lauren, an attorney at Norris, McLaughlin & Marcus.
