HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP: Heidelberg Lutheran Church having penny party April 21

The secret’s out! Heidelberg Lutheran Church’s penny party will take place April 21 in fellowship hall.

All ages are welcome to attend.

Doors open at noon for lunch with the game starting at 1 p.m.

Bring your own pennies or purchase some there, and bid on loads of household items, foods, trinkets and seasonal stuff.

As always, donations of any kind are appreciated.

It’s like no other! Grangers across the county will get together to bake their delicious, 10-inch, wet-bottom shoofly pies.

Place orders by calling Elaine Hoppes at 610-767-4400.

Pies can be picked up 1-3 p.m. April 21 at the Schnecksville Grange, Route 863, Schnecksville.

Proceeds from this bake sale fundraiser will benefit various community service projects.

Let’s eat! On April 28, Heidelberg Union Church, Church and Irving Roads, in the Saegersville area, is having a family style pork and sauerkraut dinner in fellowship hall.

The public is invited. Reservations are required and limited seating times are 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

In addition to a tasty pork and sauerkraut, the meal includes mashed potatoes, vegetable, bread, beverage and homemade desserts.
