The Allen High School graduate, who died at age 21, after serving only three months in Vietnam, was quietly buried at Grand View Cemetery, South Whitehall Township, by his family and friends.

He and wife, Dorothy, who has never remarried, had only been married five months when he was killed.

With encouragement from Mack’s wife, and his sister, Evelyn Crowson, both of whom live in slatington, plans were made to honor Pfc. Mack with a full military funeral on the 50th anniversary of his death.
