Earth Day is observed April 22, but Gockley Elementary School students will show their school spirit tomorrow, April 20, by wearing colors of green to celebrate the spring weather. Go green, and join the fun!

Reminder: PSSA testing is still underway for grades 3-8. The state testing will be done for two weeks. Fourth grade will test in science during the week of April 23-26.

It is very important students do their very best to attend school during these dates. Be sure to get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast. Also, it is important to be on time and prompt arriving to school.

Multiple sclerosis fundraisers at Gockley Elementary are underway. Whitehall-Coplay School District is supporting one of the teachers by creating a team to walk in the annual MS walk for the Lehigh Valley at Coca-Cola Park May 6.

Gockley students and staff are participating in fighting multiple sclerosis by purchasing a footprint. Footprints will be sold until April 27 and will be displayed in Gockley for the open house in May.

This activity allows our children to contribute to our community while having fun. It also helps reinforce Gockley’s train rule of caring. There are many lives that have been touched by MS.

Mark your calendar for May 11. This will be a professional development day for teachers. Schools will be closed for students.

Camp Whitehall 2018 sign-ups begin May 11. Summer day camp is open to children residing in the Whitehall-Coplay School District who have completed kindergarten (minimum age of 5) through eighth grade (maximum age of 15).
