The Woman’s Club of Emmaus recently selected Isabella Wegner as Girl of the Month for March.
Wegner was recognized for her achievements in science.
Isabella, the daughter of Robert and Kathleen Wegner of Lower Macungie Township, is a senior at Emmaus High School.
Isabella has a strong interest in chemistry and plans to major in chemical engineering.
Isabella plays the bass drum in the marching band and is the online editor for The Stinger, the high school newspaper. Her work has been recognized by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association with a Keystone Award for First Place Features in spring 2017 and Regional Award for First Place Layout in fall 2017 by the Pennsylvania School Press Association.
Isabella is the secretary for the robotics club and participates in the Science Olympiad and French club at Emmaus High School. Isabella also volunteers in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program and is developing a recruitment program within Emmaus High School. She also volunteers to raise money for Linda Ann’s Greyhound Rescue.
In college, Isabella hopes to minor in French and journalism to achieve her goal of moving to France and working in the pharmaceutical industry.
