April 21 Spanish language one man show
Ángel Vázquez, Puerto Rican performer and educator, will present a free one man show, “Hecho en Puelto Rico,” (the L is on purpose) at 7 p.m April 21 in Lipkin Theatre, Kopecek Hall, NCC Bethlehem Campus.
The story revolves around a young man faced with the conflict of staying on the island or moving to the U.S. mainland. He opens up a suitcase his grandfather left for him which contains a history of Puerto Rico that he was never taught in school. As he reads, he begins to understand where one comes from, to know one’s history, and to understand that one’s culture has much to be proud of. Visit http://northampton.meritpages.com/news/.
