A Shrimp Boil fundraiser will take place at Ziegels 4-6 p.m. April 29.

Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli, will be open for a genealogy workshop 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 14.

Wi-Fi is available. Bring laptop, bag lunch and beverage and research families in the area as well as local history. Help will be available.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company, 2500 Golden Key Road, Kutztown, is having a hoagie fundraiser to purchase equipment and other needs to serve the community.

Choose from Italian, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef or tuna.

Deadline to order is April 24. Pickup is from 4:30-6 p.m. May 3 at the fire station.

Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, 22 Luckenbill Road, Kutztown, (adjacent to Kutztown University), will host its annual Children’s Cultural Camp July 23-27 for children ages 6 through 14.

Children will learn crafts from the 1800s from craftspeople who use the crafts today, view demonstrations, and participate in activities based on the lives of early Pennsylvania Germans.
