The Woman’s Club of Emmaus recently announced Talyn Wimmer as Girl of the Month for January.

Talyn was recognized for achievements in business and computer applications.

The daughter of Todd and Lisa Wimmer, of Macungie, Talyn is a senior at Emmaus High School.

Talyn is a member of National Honor Society. She is involved in the Red Cross Club and is a swim instructor and lifeguard. She also is a Lustgarten Foundation volunteer. The Lustgarten Foundation focuses on raising funds for the study of pancreatic cancer. Talyn also enjoys hiking, baking, traveling, swimming and reading.

Talyn plans to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a major in accounting. She anticipates pursuing a certification as a chartered global management accountant.
