The Woman’s Club of Emmaus recently named Claire Boty as the November 2017 Girl of the Month.

Claire was recognized for her achievements in art.

Claire, the daughter of Thomas and Christine Boty, of Wescosville, is a senior at Emmaus High School.

Claire is active in the EHS Art Club where she helps with decorations for school dances. Her favorite type of art is embroidery which is her focus in Advanced Placement Studio Art. She recently won a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art Awards for this work.

Claire plays the viola in the orchestra.

She also has studied tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical dance as part of the dance company Steps in Time Inner Rhythms. In addition, she has been an assistant teacher in the dance company.

In her spare time, she enjoys soccer, skiing, drawing and kayaking.

She plans to attend Penn State University to major in either meteorology or art education.
