Northampton Area High School seniors Alyssa Chomitzky, Samuel Arnold and Noah Vehafric were honored as Students of the Month by Northampton Exchange Club March 7 at the Service to Youth program held at Northampton Banquet & Event Center.
The award recipients each received a framed certificate, pen and Lamp of Knowledge plaque for their outstanding academic achievements and out-of-school activities.
Dr. Rodger Berg, program chairman, lauded the students for their character and involvement in programs, along with their school work that brought them to the success they have achieved. Their parents were singled out by Berg for their role in molding the recipients to achieve the goals they set.
Samuel Arnold, January Boy of the Month, is in National Honor Society, cross-country and track, is a senior patrol leader and Eagle Scout and actively volunteers.
Alyssa Chomitzky, February Girl of the Month, is in National Honor Society, Drama Club, Volunteer Club, Spanish Club, Costume Club, Film Club, SADD, chorus and soccer and is a Miller-Keystone Blood Center volunteer.
Noah Vehafric, February Boy of the Month, is in National Honor Society, Debate Team (captain), mock trial (president), Scholastic Scrimmage (captain), French Club (president), Library Club, Current Events Club and the newspaper.
