“The Addams Family,” with ironically macabre characters created by Charles Addams for his single-panel cartoons, lurches onto the stage at 7 p.m. April 12, 13, 14, and 2 p.m. April 15, auditorium, Whitehall High School, 3800 Mechanicsville Road, Whitehall.
Randi Kaplan directs the Whitehall production, assisted by choreographer Missy Keiser Zimmer, music director Eddie Hong, and student director and stage manager Elaine Ramirez.
With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, the musical comedy debuted on Broadway in 2010, receiving 10 Tony Award nominations, and receiving one Tony.
“When You’re an Addams,” “Pulled,” “Just Around The Corner,” “The Moon And Me,” and “Trapped” are among the featured songs.
