HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP: Lehigh-Northampton County Granges baking shoofly pies

Spread the word! Lehigh-Northampton County Grangers will get together again to bake their scrumptious, 10-inch, wet-bottom shoofly pies.

Order now by calling Elaine Hoppes at 610-767-4400.

Pies may be picked up 1-3 p.m. April 21 at the Schnecksville Grange, Route 863, Schnecksville.

Proceeds from this bake sale fundraiser will benefit numerous community service projects.

St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 7860 Center St., Emerald, are hosting a free concert with the Jacobs Brothers 6 p.m. April 7.

The community is invited to attend. A freewill offering will be taken.

The cheer is here! Heidelberg Lutheran Church’s penny party will be April 21 in fellowship hall.

All ages are invited to attend.

Doors open at noon for lunch with the game starting at 1 p.m.

Bring lots of pennies or purchase some there and bid on tons of household items, foods, trinkets and seasonal stuff.

Mark your calendar! On April 28, Heidelberg Union Church, Church and Irving Roads, in the Saegersville area, is having a family style pork and sauerkraut dinner in fellowship hall.

All are welcome to come. Reservations are required and limited seating times are 4 p.m. and at 6 p.m.

In addition to a delicious pork and sauerkraut, the meal includes mashed potatoes, vegetable, bread, beverage and homemade desserts.
