There will be a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative beginning with an assembly 4:45 p.m. April 4 at Payrow Plaza in remembrance of the 50th anniversary of King’s assassination.

The march to the south side will step off 5 p.m. at 10 E. Church St., Bethlehem, followed by a program 6 p.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 433 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem.

The event is sponsored by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People-Bethlehem Chapter, Young Women’s Christian Association, Bethlehem Area Public Library and Lehigh-Pocono Committee of Concern.
