Salisbury Township will hold a youth fishing event 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 31. Children 15 and under can fish at the Laubach Park pond. A parent or guardian must be with the child at all times and there is a five fish limit per child. Sounds like a good time.

March 29 is a snow make-up day. Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. while Harry S Truman Elementary School and Western Salisbury Elementary School dismiss 1 p.m. Schools will be closed for the Easter break March 30 and April 2. Additionally, school will be in session June 7 and 8.

Would you like your voice heard and get some coffee at the same time? Join our Coffee and Conversation with the administrators 9 to 10 a.m. April 5 at the administration building. RSVP to Mary Bishop at 610-797-2062, ext. 1000.

Spring is here and along with that comes the glorious Pennsylvania System of School Assessment testing. Some good news is the tests are shorter this year. Woo hoo! Students in grades three to five at HST and WSE will take the language arts tests April 10 and 11. Students in grades six to eight at Salisbury Middle School will take the language arts tests April 10, 11 and 12. Please make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast. Also, encourage them to try their best.

Spring sports will be starting soon. If you have an afternoon or evening free, stop at the high school and watch a baseball game or a track meet. Or stop in at WSE and catch a softball game or tennis match. Even if you don’t have a student playing, you can sit on the sidelines and yell “Go Falcons!”

April 3 is the end of the third marking period for SHS and SMS. The end is in sight.

The Devonshire drop-off is open March 31, April 3 and 7. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
