Rep. Justin Simmons, R-131st, will hold a “Coffee and Conversation” event at his Coopersburg district office, Village Center, 21 N. Main St., Unit 9, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Simmons said his goal is to engage his constituents in an open dialogue and see where they stand on state and local issues.

Emmaus Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. at Emmaus Community Park for children one to 10 years of age. The hunt is held rain or shine.

Salisbury Township youth fishing at Laubach Park Pond 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children 15 and under may fish accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. There is a limit of five fish per child.

April 2

Lehigh County Conservation District workshop, “Healthy Farms, Healthy Animals, Healthy Water: Planning for Sustainability” 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lehigh County Agricultural Building, 4184 Dorney Park Road, Allentown. The Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. The program will be “New Perennials and Shrubs,” presented by Tom Bull, from Herbein’s Garden Center.

Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society quarterly meeting 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township Building in Old Zionsville. The speaker will be Julie Longacre, well-known area artist who will speak about her life and work. If you have any of her work, bring it along to share. Refreshments will be served after the program. April 4

“Walk with Your Doc” event at St. Luke’s University Health Network, Anderson campus. Offered in conjunction with the American Heart Association’s National Walking Day. After a brief program, participants will join Dwithiya Thomas, M.D., a cardiologist with St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates in Bethlehem, and Bonnie Coyle, M.D., chairman of Community Health and Preventive Medicine, for a walk around the 2-mile walking trail on the Anderson campus. A free informational session on adoption and child foster care will be held 6 p.m. at Diakon Adoption & Foster Care, located on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, One S. Home Ave., Topton. The Lehigh Valley Professional Chapter of Engineers without Borders’ annual fundraiser 4 p.m. at the DeSales University Center. Event includes dinner and live and silent auctions.
