Troop M, Pennsylvania State Police, and several other local agencies have announced that heightened Easter holiday traffic enforcement will begin 1 a.m. March 30 and continue through midnight on the night of April 1.
The Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement Education Program, Selective Traffic Enforcement Against Drunk Driving and Drug Recognition Expert programs will target aggressive drivers or those under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Speeding, reckless driving, seat belt and child safety seat violations will also be targeted.
Motorists are reminded there will be increased patrols and are asked to take exceptional care while driving this holiday weekend. Slow down when sighting flashing lights and steer clear as per the laws.
