Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

MARCH 19

Police were on the scene for a report of a dog bite along the Ironton Rail Trail. The owner of the dog was cited, as well as a male who allowed the dog to walk without a leash when the attack occurred.

Officers performed a welfare check in the 100 block of North Ninth Street.

The department responded to a fire alarm in the unit block of North Front Street.

Police offered assistance with a child car seat in the 1100 block of Center Street.

A parking complaint in the 100 block of Coplay Street was received.

MARCH 20

Two suspicious males in the unit block of Strawberry Alley were investigated.

Parking complaints on South Second and Chestnut streets were reported.

MARCH 21

A reckless driver in the 200 block of Coplay Road had police on the scene.

Officers responded to an ATM alarm at BB&T Bank in the Giant Food Store, 202 Chestnut St.

Parking complaints on Poplar, South Third, Chestnut and South Second streets were reported.

The department assisted a citizen in the unit block of South Fourth Street.

MARCH 22

A pit bull running loose in the 100 block of South Third Street was reported.

Police investigated criminal mischief in the unit block of South Third Street. Damage was done to a vehicle.

Parking complaints on South Second and North Second streets were received.

Officers assisted a citizen in the unit block of North Front Street.

The department assisted with a civil matter in the unit block of South Second Street.

Three parking complaints were received for the unit block of North Second Street.

MARCH 24

Police assisted a motorist who had a squirrel stuck in his grille in the 300 block of Center Street.

A theft in the unit block of South Fifth Street was reported. Items were reported stolen out of a purse left in a vehicle.

A missing vehicle in the unit block of North Fourth Street was reported.

Officers assisted Whitehall police with a retail theft in the unit block of North Front Street.

Criminal mischief to a vehicle in the unit block of South Third Street was investigated.

Parking complaints on North Second, Center and Chestnut streets were received.
