Norwich University

The following students have earned dean’s list recognition at Norwich University for the fall 2017 semester. Dean’s list recipients are full-time undergraduate students who earned a semester GPA of at least 3.0.

Catasauqua: Satchel Orion Stauffer

Norwich University is a diversified academic institution that educates traditional-age students and adults in a Corps of Cadets and as civilians. Delaware Valley University

Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Delaware Valley University, announced that Ryan Bradbury, of Catasauqua, graduated from Delaware Valley University in December 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in biology.

Delaware Valley University is an independent, comprehensive university with more than 1,000 acres in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Founded in 1896, DelVal emphasizes experiential and interdisciplinary learning and provides small class sizes where students learn on a first-name basis. Through the innovative Experience360 Program, all DelVal students gain real world experience in their fields. DelVal offers more than 25 undergraduate majors in the sciences, humanities and business, more than five master’s programs, a doctor of education and a variety of adult education courses.

Bloomsburg University

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania has released its list of fall 2017 graduates.

Catasauqua: Laura Judith Gerhard, Bachelor of Arts in mass communication; Christopher Creyer, Bachelor of Science in secondary education in history

Coplay: Vincent Casiano Alessio Boyer, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance; Colleen Tobey, Bachelor of Science in biology

Northampton: Alexandra Marie Kovacs, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance and accounting

Whitehall: Brooke Jean Gilson, Bachelor of Science in middle level education (grades 4-8)

Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 9,600 students, offering comprehensive programs of study in the colleges of education, business, liberal arts and science and technology.

Colgate University

Brittany Quinn, of Whitehall, a member of Colgate University’s Class of 2020, has earned the dean’s award for academic excellence. Quinn is a graduate of Whitehall High School. Her current major is sociology.

Students who receive a term GPA of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses earn the fall 2017 dean’s award for academic excellence.

Colgate University

Kaitlyn Rodriguez, of Bath, a member of Colgate University’s Class of 2018, has earned the fall 2017 dean’s award with distinction. Her current major is molecular biology. Students who receive a term GPA of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the fall 2017 semester earn the dean’s award with distinction.

Clarion University

Iman Ross, of Whitehall, has been named to Clarion University dean’s list by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the fall 2017 semester.

DeSales University

DeSales University held its midyear commencement Jan. 20 in Billera Hall on the Center Valley campus. During the ceremony, the Rev. James Greenfield, OSFS, university president, conferred degrees upon 175 graduating students for January 2018, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees

In addition to the January degree recipients, DeSales awarded 266 degrees to students in September 2017. Because there is no formal ceremony in September, the September graduates may take part in the January commencement.

DeSales University, Center Valley, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1965, the 480-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles south of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,000 includes undergraduate day and evening students and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 100 full-time faculty members and offers more than 35 bachelor’s degrees and eight graduate programs in a wide range of disciplines.

Missouri University

Matthew Giacobbe, of Coplay, an architectural engineering senior at Missouri University of Science and Technology, has made the honor list for the fall 2017 semester. To be included on the honor list, students must have carried a minimum of 12 hours and had grade-point averages of 3.2 or above.

Founded in 1870 as the University of Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) is a research university of more than 8,800 students and part of the four-campus University of Missouri System. Located in Rolla, Mo., Missouri S&T offers 98 degree programs in 39 areas of study and awards bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degrees in engineering, the sciences, business and information technology, the humanities and the liberal arts.

Quinnipiac University

Marie Barna-Rogers, of Whitehall, has made the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Quinnipiac University. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.

Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. The university enrolls 7,000 full-time undergraduate and 3,000 graduate and part-time students in 110 degree programs through its schools of business, communications, education, engineering, health sciences, law, medicine, nursing and college of arts and sciences. Quinnipiac consistently ranks among the top regional universities in the North in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges” issue. Quinnipiac also is recognized in Princeton Review’s “The Best 381 Colleges.” The Chronicle of Higher Education has named Quinnipiac among the “Great Colleges to Work For.”

University of New Haven Alqahtani earns degree

Naif Mosleh A. Alqahtani, of Whitehall, received a Master of Science degree from the University of New Haven at commencement ceremonies December 2017 at the Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Conn. Alqahtani majored in national security in the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences.

Hunter Panier, of Coplay, a Bachelor of Science in genetics and biotechnology major, has earned the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at the University of New Haven.
