Q: In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A: I am currently a senior at Salisbury High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: I love English and writing. I love being able to share my message with people and express how I’m feeling.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: My sophomore year I won the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership award. I was recognized by my school administration.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I am in No Place For Hate, as well as a member of the field hockey team and the softball team.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: I will be attending Bloomsburg University and here I want to be able to help people of all kinds since I will be majoring in a specialized field.

Q: What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A: My biggest challenge to date was finding myself and who I am. In a world full of social media and influencers I needed to be able to discover myself and what I stand for and not follow what is being pushed at me. I want to follow the idea of “good” and helping others. I want to spread positivity everywhere I go.

Q: For what would you like to be remembered?

A: I want to be remembered for being a kind soul. I want people to remember me as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand and make others feel cared for.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My parents Duane and Audrey Slough.

Q: Whom do you admire? Why?

A: Juliette Gordon Low. She is the founder of the Girl Scouts. She has created an organization that has positively effected women around the globe and never asked for any recognition for the good that she’s given the world. Girl Scouting has made me who I am, so I could never have been the person I am without her.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: Stay positive and step out of your comfort zone.
