Concordia Lutheran Preschool will hold its annual Community Easter egg hunt March 24 with registration 9 a.m. There will be a pancake breakfast immediately following in fellowship hall.

Swim lesson sign-ups for Lower Macungie Pool will begin after April 2. Sign-ups are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the community center.

Habitat Lehigh Valley ReStore will have a truck available at the community center to collect unwanted but new and gently used furniture, appliances and building supplies for resale 9 a.m. to noon April 21.

Summer playground sign-ups will be 6 to 8 p.m. April 18 at the community center. The program runs June 25 to Aug. 10 for children ages six to 11 years old.

Concordia Lutheran preschool will hold an Earth Day clothes recycling event 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28 at Concordia Lutheran Church on Brookside Road. Acceptable items for the clothing drive include new and gently used clothing, shoes, coats, bedding, towels and stuffed animals. Tax donation receipts are available. The Lower Macungie “Lazers” Swim Team sign-ups for children ages five to 18 will be held 5 to 7 p.m. April 23 at the community center. The season runs May 29 to July 21 and a Lower Macungie Township pool membership is required.

In Ancient Oaks news, the Easter egg hunt will be held 2 p.m. March 24 at Church Lane Park with a rain date 2 p.m. March 25.

The Ancient Oaks garage sale will be held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28.

Lower Macungie offers garden plot rentals on Bogie Avenue and at Camp Olympic. Plots are available to rent on a first come, first serve basis. Contact the community center for more information.

The Lower Macungie Garden Club will meet 1 p.m. April 11 at the community center.

The Lower Macungie Senior Citizens Club meets noon April 3 and 17 at the community center. After a business meeting, members play bingo or card games.

Yard waste site winter hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The site is closed Tuesday and Thursday. Yard waste permits are required for drop-off. Be prepared to show your photo I.D. as proof of residency.

The Lower Macungie Township Library will be closed March 30 for spring holiday.

The library is currently under construction. As part of the expansion of the community center, the library will add 4,400 square feet to house the children’s wing.

AARP Taxaide counselors offer free tax help for taxpayers with low to moderate income with special attention to those 60 years and older. Through April 12, counselors will be available noon to 5 p.m. each Thursday to provide assistance with taxes. Appointment slots fill quickly.

Donations for the spring book sale are being accepted through March 31. Donations should be placed in the window alcove to the right when entering the library. Please do not donate the following items: VHS and cassette tapes, encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines, pamphlet, outdated medical and travel guides, dictionaries and reference books, Reader’s Digest condensed books or items in poor condition.

Friends members are welcome to help sort through each week’s donations 8:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday mornings before the library opens.

The Spring Book Sale will be held May 4 and 5 with a Friends Preview Night May 3.
