LOWHILL TOWNSHIP: LV Zoo celebrating spring equinox

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, will celebrate the spring equinox, the time of year when the sun crosses the celestial equator March 17 and 18.

The zoo will be offering an exciting line up of hands on interactive experiences including tours of interactive exhibits, special zoo keeper talks and educational crafts.

The zoo’s next Corks and Canvas painting party, featuring North American River Otters, will be on March 28.

Gates open 5:30 p.m. Painting will be 6-8 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of painting at the zoo, while sipping on wine.

Bring your own beverage for the evening.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will have an Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. March 31.

Everyone is invited to come and watch the youth hunt eggs and have a good time.

Donations of eggs are needed.

Eggs may be dropped off after 9 a.m. but before 12:30 p.m. March 31 in the church kitchen.

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is having all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. April 7.

Meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and beverage.

Dine in or take out will be available.

Live entertainment will be provided by Rob Ballonoff, guitarist and singer, from 5-6 p.m.

The church’s spring penny party is scheduled for April 20.

Doors open 5:30 p.m. Game starts at 7 p.m.

Bring loose change for a night of fun and fellowship. Food will be available for purchase.
