A marvelous presentation of “Into the Woods” was performed in Dyer Auditorium, Moravian Academy last week. The opening night performance was moved to Sunday evening due to a winter storm and poor driving conditions. The production played on March 3 and 4 and was directed by Jarrod Yuskauskas along with associate director Elizabeth Burke. The music section included director Dr. Yvonne Robinson, orchestra conductor and Dr. Richard Fanning and the play was choreographed by Katie Keller. Technical director was Rob Riker. The cast consisted of over 50 students. The musical was adapted from a book by James Lapine. The music and lyrics written by Steven Sondheim. “Into the Woods” first debuted on Broadway in 1987. The plot largely includes fairy tales from Charles Perrault and Brothers Grimm. Some songs from the show are “Giants In The Sky,” “No One Is Alone” and “Last Midnight.”
