Several area residents were conferred degrees at the Kutztown University commencement in December, 2017. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80.

Eight Bethlehem area residents were among Lehigh Carbon Community College’s December 2017 graduates. They are Nicole Campbell, Renee Deskiewicz and Robert Sacco, all of whom graduated Magna Cum Laude, having earned a grade point average of 3.75 - 3.95; and Michael Kleppinger, Nicholas Krout, Patricia Shutt, Isaac Torres and Naomi Wilson.
